Mark 11:25-26 (NKJV) “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
I heard this story directly from the person to whom it took place. I know the individual personally and can attest that she is a trustworthy person who did not make up the story. Be blessed in learning and then go and experience the same healing power in your life.—Dan
Susan [an assumed name] is a friend of mine. I’ve known her for some time and have always been blessed spending time with her. Recently she told me how forgiveness had brought healing to her back.
For some time she suffered from chronic back pain. Seeking to alleviate the pain, she visited doctors, physical therapists, occupational therapists and chiropractors. Unfortunately, nothing helped. She was of course praying and doing what she could, but in spite of many efforts things remained the same.
One day, she attended a prayer meeting in a church other than her own. During the course of the meeting she was approached by a man who told her, “I feel impressed that you need to forgive someone.” “Hm,” she thought, “It is true that there are some people I hate, but how would this man know anything about me.” Later in the same meeting she was approached by another individual who said: “I feel impressed that you need to forgive someone.” Needless to say, two strangers approaching her with the same message got her attention!
Upon returning home, she began talking to God about the too people who had approached her with their strong impressions that she needed to “forgive someone.” She had weathered some horrible experiences growing up and in her marriage, and there were a lot of people she disliked.
She began to talk to God about them one at a time. The list was long, however, and she finally said, “God there are too many to go through individually, I think I need to forgive all of them.”
As she said these words, she felt some warmth at the top of her spine. The warmth traveled down her spine, and then disappeared. But with the disappearance of the warmth, also disappeared her back pain!
Forgiveness had brought healing!
